Fira
Fira is the capital of Santorini, part of the archipelago of the Cyclades. Nowadays Fira is modern town, built mostly during the 19th century after the old Venetian capital at Skaros disappeared due to earthquakes. The architecture is a combination of Cycladic and Venetian, with whitewashed houses and blue domed churches. Here is White Orthodox Cathedral, built on the site of the Ypapanti Church, destroyed in the 1956 earthquake.
